Should cell phones be used in class?
I think cell phones would be very useful in class, but they should only be used for emergancy's, or to search up information needed. Some teachers dont like it because they feel your not listening if your on your phone, which is why I think they should only be used when necessary, or on you spare time when you have nothing to do.
Texting should only be used if all their work is done so they have something to do. If the teacher is talking no one should be texting until the teacher is finished. This is beneficial because the students will be able to get work done. If they are allowed to use their phones, they could find information for what they need if they get stuck. With cell phones, it wouldnt take long to search for information because without cell phones you would have to get a dictionary or a computer, and search for it, but with a cell phone, you can just go to google, and type in what you need. Having cell phones in class would make everything alot easier, but as long as there is rules about how and when to use them in class

- Could keep in touch with family in class if needed.

- Could be used to cheat on a test or exam.

I agree with your statement because i wouldn't want to get up all the time to use a computer or to search information. I'd rather use a handheld device that i have on me.If the teacher was fine with the idea of using a phone in class i would take it to my advantage.
